Yesterday we enjoyed the fall colors and outdoors by biking to the Kungshamn-Morga Nature Reserve about 6 miles south of Uppsala. There is a bike trail along the Fryis River from Uppsala to where it drains into Lake Mälaren. We then veered off the beaten path to a road heading towards the lake, which we were only able to bike on for about a mile. We then left our bikes and hiked a few miles in the woods and made our way to the lake. At the "beach," we had a picnic lunch, and then hiked a bit further before heading back through the woods. We biked back to Uppsala a different way through a few small towns, and then collapsed on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon and evening. 13 miles of biking was plenty!
Here's a link to the latest round of pictures. By next weekend, we'll post some pictures of the interior of our apartment. Have a good week!
