DOLs and boxes

This week we spent some time doing good ol' DOLs.  It made us feel like we were back in Mrs. Winters' 8th grade language arts class, but it was really helpful--and challenging--to do so in svenska instead of engelska.  And yes, languages are lower-case in svenska, so no need to make a DOL out of my blog post  ;-)  Our 2nd unit assignment is due at the end of the week, which means the test is next week.  This unit has been much more challenging because we're in a class with students who have taken the class before, and the teacher speaks 95% svenska, making it quite hard to keep up with her instruction.  But it's exciting to have a short story in the book that we can read and understand.  Our teacher gave us the course goals last week, which if we accomplish at the end of 6 units, will be quite impressive.

Boxes... yeah, we're packing up again.  Our apartment is currently a disaster zone, but tomorrow we're moving to our 2nd home in Uppsala where we'll be until at least the end of July.  We're excited about the move, the new location, and the fact that it's only taking us 1 day to pack our belongings.  We've really enjoyed the place we're in and would have been comfortable staying here for our entire stay in Sverige, but the owner needed to sell it so she could buy a bigger place.  So one more night at Geijersgatan 27E, which in case you're wondering, is pronounced Yay-ersh-yat-an.

Hope everyone has a good week!
