Nya Prinsessen, Varmt Väder, och Sex Månader!

Nya Prinsessen: Sweden welcomed a new princess last week!  Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, are the happy parents of Princess Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary.  Princess Estelle has been the talk and celebration of the country, and her clothes and accessories are expected to set the new trend for baby fashion throughout Sweden.

Varmt Väder: On another happy note, the sun is shining, the daylight hours are lengthening, and it's been above freezing all week!  It's doubtful that the winter is truly over, but as long as the daylight and sunshine stick around, the snow can come back a time or two if it wants.

Sex Månader: It's now been 6 months that we've been in Sweden!  It seems a bit unreal, but as with any move to a new location, familiarity and comfort only increase with time.  We're both still enjoying Sweden a lot and are looking forward to sharing it with friends and family visiting over the next several months.   

Svenska class is going well.  We have our third test next week, which we're hoping goes a bit better than the second one did.  It's an interesting process - learning a new language.  Things seem so complex for weeks and then all of a sudden, you get it and it's part of the communication process.  Picking up what others are saying is still our biggest challenge, especially because it seems like Swedes talk at a breakneck speed.  But it's nice to be at the phase where we can catch even a word or two from a sentence.
