Come on, Spring!

Well, we're still waiting for spring weather to settle in for good.  Friday and the last two weekends brought more snow.  Fortunately this coming week is expected to be in the 50s with rain, but we'll take the warmer weather that will better match the rapidly lengthening days.  The sun rises now at 5:15am and sets at 8:30pm, which we've discovered takes some getting used to.  We've both been waking up earlier and getting up with our first alarm just because we can tell it's light and bright outside even at 6am.  We have a light-blocking shade on the bedroom window and apparently need to start sleeping with our bedroom door closed to completely block out the light.  That or we buy eye masks, as was suggested last week  ;-)

 

 

signs of spring... even though it's snowing

Despite the snowy conditions, we spent time last weekend roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.  Tyson's advisor thought it would be fun to have a cookout and managed to get a fire going even though it had rained most of the day and snowed most of the time we were in the forest.  I'm sure all the Swedes walking through the forest thought we were crazy (which I think we were, too), but it was a fun time!
